The efficient and effective management and control of GhanaÕs natural resources, has the greatest prospect of transforming the countryÕs socioeconomic development. The business model of the exploitation of these resources has since independence, been controlled by foreign commercial interests, with very little impact on GhanaÕs development. The following policy prescriptions under this thematic pillar are designed to add value to our natural resources, optimize the benefits to be accrued, ensure that the resources are managed in a sustainable way, and enhance the participation of local economic operators in their exploitation:
