i. Undertake a comprehensive assessment of the state of all existing public transport infrastructure projects and facilities across the country. ii. Based on the findings of the assessment exercise, prepare and implement detailed proposals for the reconstruction, rehabilitation, expansion, completion, or commissioning of existing public transport infrastructure projects and facilities. iii. Establish a National Shipping Line as a strategic transport infrastructure initiative, with the support of the private sector, to enhance the maritime services sector as a vehicle for facilitating import-export trade, particularly under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), and boosting government revenue from shipping services. iv. Revamp the operations of the Volta Lake Transport Company to provide cost effective inland water shipping services on the Volta Lake. v. Support private sector investments for the establishment of a National Airline or a Home-Based Carrier.
