Governance is a critical and integral part of the policy reform agenda underpinning the Great Transformational Plan.Since the advent of the 4th Republic in 1992, the political landscape has been characterized by fundamental and structural deficiencies in our governance regime, with severe negative impacts on the socio-economic fortunes of Ghana. Amongst many other factors, corruption has been a key destabilizing factor for the country’s economic development, and has led to the loss of trust, confidence and hope by the general population in multiparty democracy.The GTP proposes far reaching and fundamental policy prescriptions to address many of the key challenges in the leadership and political governance architecture of Ghana.
